What it does
- Compares against benchmarks
- Your portfolio's return beside an S&P 500 ETF and other broad-market funds over the same window — the question most trackers never answer. You cannot buy an index; you buy a fund that tracks it, so the comparison is against the fund.
- Tracks real cost basis, not just prices
- Enter share counts, purchase prices and dates. Individual lots, realised and unrealised gains, and money-weighted returns that account for when you actually put money in.
- Keeps your portfolio on your iPhone
- No account, no login. Share counts, cost basis and alert thresholds are stored only on your device and are never sent to a server. No advertising identifier and no third-party analytics code — which is why the app never asks permission to track you. It does send usage data — which screens are opened, never what is in them — on by default and switchable off in Settings. The policy lists exactly what it contains.
- Uses real market data
- Quotes (delayed by a few minutes), price history, company profiles, earnings and news from established market-data providers. Search covers about 25,000 US symbols and corrects typos against the real company list, so "Atlasian" still finds Atlassian.
- Sorts the news instead of just listing it
- Headlines are categorised so you can tell an earnings report from a press release at a glance.
- Evaluates price alerts on your device
- Set a threshold and get a notification, generated on your device. Your thresholds never leave your phone — the symbols you set them on are sent to fetch their prices, like everything else on your watchlist.
- Has a real Apple Watch app
- Your watchlist and positions on your wrist, synced directly from your iPhone over Apple's on-device framework — not through a server, not through an account.
Honest about its limits
What it does not do
This is a deliberate choice, and the reason a few panels you might expect are absent.
- It does not predict prices. There are no forecasts.
- It shows no invented analyst targets and no made-up financials.
- Where a number is unavailable, it says so rather than filling the gap — and anything simulated is labelled as simulated.
- Today's Movers are ranked among the stocks this app tracks, not the full market. The screen says so.
- It does not give advice. Nothing it shows — benchmark comparisons, movers, insights, exports — is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold, or investment or tax advice. Figures can be delayed or wrong; check them against your broker's statements before acting on them.
